It Started With One
Nutritious Meal
Nature's Best Africa was not born from a market trend. It began with a phone call between two friends during one of the most difficult seasons of life — at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I asked her to send me a small amount of money so I could buy indigenous vegetables — managu, sagaa, terere, kunde and mrenda — that I could prepare and eat over several meals. She sent the money. I prepared them. Over time, I began to feel better.
That experience led us to ask a bigger question: Why were nutritious African foods still difficult for many households to access affordably, while the farmers who grew them struggled with unreliable markets? That question became the beginning of Nature's Best Africa.
Food That
Does More
Every Nature's Best Africa product represents more than a meal. It contributes to a wider food-system mission — nourishing people while strengthening the farmers who grow our food. Our impact work focuses on the connection between nutrition, agriculture, food preservation, education and community wellbeing. Ready to Make Nutrition Easier? Whether you are feeding your family, improving your health, supporting your workforce or looking for an impact partner, Nature's Best Africa is here to help.
